Role Overview:
Are you passionate about workforce development and creating impactful programs? As the Workforce Development Specialist, you'll lead the design, implementation, and management of the North Carolina Weatherization Assistance Program's (NC WAP) pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs. Your leadership will ensure these programs drive long-term success and meet workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage NC WAP's pre-apprenticeship/apprenticeship programs, ensuring alignment with state and federal standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish program goals, recruitment strategies, and participant success metrics.
- Oversee program operations, including participant onboarding, curriculum alignment, and certification tracking.
- Act as a liaison with industry partners to identify workforce demands and enhance opportunities for graduates.
- Monitor program success through regular reporting and adapt strategies to improve outcomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in workforce development program management, including apprenticeship program creation or administration.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency or weatherization programs is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel across North Carolina.
