Role Description: A Contractor Relations Manager for a state-funded energy efficiency program is responsible for building and managing a network of qualified contractors to perform energy efficiency upgrades in residential homes. This role combines elements of outreach, relationship management, and program administration to ensure the successful implementation of energy-saving measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contractor Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Identify and qualify target contractors with expertise in energy efficiency and home improvement
    • Develop and implement strategies to expand the network of participating contractors
    • Educate potential contractors on program benefits, requirements, and opportunities
  • Relationship Management
    • Maintain strong ongoing communications with participating contractors and consultants
    • Assess contractor needs and gather feedback on their program experience
  • Program Administration
    • Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with program standards
    • Coordinate with state agencies and other stakeholders to align program objectives
  • Training and Support
    • Develop and deliver training programs for contractors on energy efficiency best practices
    • Assist contractors in understanding and meeting program quality standards
  • Performance Monitoring
    • Track contractor performance metrics and program outcomes
    • Conduct quality control checks and final assessments upon work completion
    • Verify compliance with program requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with contractors
  • Experience in program management and contractor coordination
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports on program performance
  • Understanding of state regulations and energy efficiency policies
